What is EolPower ?

EOLPOWER is a company born in 2006 as an academic spin-off founded by the components of the research group ADAG based at the Department of Aerospace Engineering (ex Dept. of Aeronautical Design) - University of Naples “Federico II”. The company includes people who have ripen a working know-how in the field of renewable energy (both wind turbines and hydro turbines). Eolpower also includes non-academic professionals with their own experience in the design and production of electrical generators and manufacture of composite material components. A member of Eolpower directorate is the Elettrosannio ricerca srl, a company that have operated in the field of photovoltaic energy for several years. Elettrosannio represents within EOLPOWER a strategic fact in terms of promotion and marketing of our turbines.

For its activities, EoLPower has won:

- the Start Cup 2006 award, organized by the "Federico II", for the best business idea,

- the CIBAPARK, in 2007, organized by CIRA - Centro Italiano Ricerche Aerospaziali, which is a 'initiative to support the creation and development of start-up and spin-offs for the creation of new high-tech (www. cibapark.it)

- the BRIDG€conomies Campania Award 2009 - Award for the implementation of research (www.bridgeconomies.eu).

Also in nay 2010 he participated as a finalist in the Start Up dell'anno award, prize for young dynamic and innovative companies arising from public research (www.pnicube.it).
